 I have take this photograph in the studio with a white backdrop, I have edited the whole image in Photoshop to give the idea of a dark sky for dramatic effect. The original image was in colour, I changed the colour to black and white because I thought it would look better and link in with the dramatic background. If I was to redo this shoot I would set up the lighting differently due to the fact that the face is more highlighted on one side, but I also like it because it adds more tones to the image.

 

 

 

 

Here I have photographed my friend who is promoting a fashion label called Class Villain. The image is a natural lighting shot and has been adjusted in Photoshop to turn the image from colour to black and white. I have added a boarder for effect, as I am using this image in my brief ' experimental photography' the image is on Google images and has 11,166 notes on tumblr.

 

 

 

I took a series of fashion styled photographs of my friend when I first started to develop the idea that I wanted to do photography. these images were taken on a bridge camera and have been edited in Photoshop to change them to black and white and I have added a lens flare for effect.  

 

Circus Cabaret | Experimental Photography

My most recent brief was to experiment with in photography and create a final image based on the theme circus. Here are two of my development ideas for my final piece I have used Photoshop to different edits and effects. I have changed the Hue and Saturation to create different colours and have also used the  distort tool to create a crystal ball styled images. 

 

 

 

Event | Band Photography

 

In my first year of my photography course we set up an event as part of the brief, called the bridal cabaret where the whole creative arts department collaborated. Here I have shoot some photographs from some of the garment created by the first and second year fashion students that performed at the event. There were four bands in total that played; I have chosen some of my best shots.

 

This is a zoomed in shot of the lead singer of one of the bands, I have edited the image in Photoshop to black and white and adjusted the background so it was blacked out but still has a slight view of what else is in the background, but yet the main focus point is on the singer.

 

 

I'm really happy with this shot of the guy playing the guitar you can see slight movement in the hand area which I really like because I was finding it hard to capture a good image from this band because there was a lot of movement. I have slightly edited this image by adjusting the brightness and contrast.

 

 

Here I have captured the lead singer in mid vocals and once again I have just edited the image to black and white.

 

 

This is just a group shot of the final band that performed, edited in Photoshop to black and white because in colour the whole appearance of the image didn't look right.

Experimental Fashion Photography

Here are some image that I have create for a brief called ‘experimental photography’ all of my pieces that I have created upon this brief have a link to fashion.

I used four different film photographs to build up a collage effect; I have put each image on a different layer in Photoshop and then moved the scale of each one to what I thought would be best suited to build up an effect.

This is one of my images from a brief called ‘experimental photography’ here I have used a digital SLR camera and Photoshop to product one image but have duplicated the same image to show different styles of experimentation. I have added a boarded to the background to give it a different effect.

 

Here is another experiential photography piece, I have used 3 different images on 3 different layers and changed the opacity of them to create a movement effect of the garment/ materials she is holding. This was also an experimental piece for the clothes show live brief that I entered.

 

Competition

These two images were taken for a brief, for the clothes show live 2013 competition. I really like both the images, I have just added a slight blur to both the images but apart from that additional change there is no meagre change to the images.

Work Experience

I have been lucky enough to have a few work experience encounters where my work has been displayed for example here my original photograph is appeared on a Yorkshire company called Vinatage Wedding Daze. My image appears on the all about us page and also in the gallery.

 

Event | Fashion Photography

Here I have shoot some photographs from some of the garment created by the first and second year fashion students, who collaborated with the media makeup and hair to create their final look for the show. Here are some of my best shots from the event.

 

 

I really like these two images combined into one, I like the vibrate colour coming from the garment it relates to the theme of culture.

 

 

I have edited this image into black and white because I personally thought that it looked better due to the lighting not being quite right at the event, editing the image into Photoshop helped me cover up any flaws due to the lighting.

 

 

I have edited this event photograph in Photoshop by going around the image and making the background darker and more blurred out so the main focus is on the garment. I really like the colour scheme to this garment.

I was able to get a straight on shot of this model on the catwalk I edited the image into black and white because due to an error with the lighting at the event, but using Photoshop I was able to correct any errors.
